Yvonne Dale Nelson, 62, of the 1500 block of Hazel Ave.,
passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2011.
Born in Norfolk to the late Viola and Sanford Williams,
Yvonne was a member of the Ephesus Church of God.
She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Roger Nelson;
two daughters, Sherry Baker and husband Joseph and Angela Rigdon and husband Tony;
five grandchildren, Angel, Jerry and Starla Francis,
Toni Henderson and Robert Powell;
10 great-grandchildren;
three brothers, Charles, Dennis and Billy;
three sisters, Janice, Syble and Linda.
A memorial service was held
at Ephesus Church of God, 3923 Deep Creek Blvd., Portsmouth.

God saw she was getting tired so he put his arms around her and whispered,"come with me"
With tear-filled eyes we watched her suffer and fade away.Although we loved her deeply,we could not make her stay.
A golden heart stopped beating ,hard-working hands put to rest.God broke our hearts to prove to us he only takes the best,

Our sister went to be with Jesus on Wednesday, June 22, 2011
Her little weak heart just stopped.
This is starting her first year in heaven.
And she is so sadly missed by all her family and friends.
